How We Got Started

In 2012, I moved from Texas to Kokomo, Indiana, to finish high school. Raised on southern hospitality and quickly embraced by the deep-rooted Hoosier values of this town, I found myself drawn to the sense of community that makes Kokomo special. It didn’t take long for this place to feel like home—and not long after that, I met the woman who would become my wife, my partner, and the heart behind everything we’d go on to build together.

Tori and I met just out of high school while working at Red Lobster, and that’s where our journey began—over ten years ago. From the start, we connected over shared values: family, hard work, and the desire to build something meaningful. Tori was born and raised in Kokomo, a proud graduate of Kokomo High School and Indiana University Kokomo, where she earned her degree in Business Management. She went on to build a strong career as a supervisor at FCA, while I began my own path in sales, first in real estate and then in the automotive industry.

Throughout those years, we learned the value of trust, integrity, and the importance of doing right by others—lessons that would later become the foundation of our business. In 2021, I found my true calling in the roofing industry. I wasn’t just drawn to the trade itself—I was drawn to the impact it could have on people’s lives. Helping homeowners protect and improve their biggest investment felt purposeful. I committed to learning everything I could, not just about roofing, but about what really matters to homeowners: honesty, reliability, and high-quality work that doesn’t break the bank.

When our son, Jace, was born, everything shifted into even sharper focus. Starting ACE Exteriors wasn’t just about launching a business—it was about building a future for our family and a legacy in the community we love. Tori transitioned from supervising production lines to managing the systems and backend operations of our company, bringing her leadership and organization into every part of what we do. Today, she keeps things running smoothly—overseeing customer communication, processes, and making sure every experience with ACE feels personal and professional.

Together, we’ve created more than a roofing company. We’ve created a family-first business grounded in faith, community, and purpose. ACE Exteriors exists to serve Kokomo with honesty, exceptional craftsmanship, and a heart for giving back. Whether it’s through free inspections, helping families save money, or providing roofs for those in need, our mission is simple: take care of people the right way.
